We are seeking a passionate Accountant to join our growing team. As a key member of the Ascendis Pharma team, you will play a crucial role in end-to-end accounting and payment processes, with a strong focus on vendor accounting, expense management, and period-end closing activities across multiple European entities. You play a key role in ensuring accurate financial records, timely payments, and compliance with internal controls and accounting standards

You will be joining the P2P team in Global Finance. You will report directly to Frederik Dalby Andersen, P2P Manager who is based in Hellerup. You will also be based in Hellerup. 

Your key responsibilities will be: 

  • Manage end-to-end P2P accounting process 
  • Perform month closing and year-end closing activities 
  • Support VAT compliance  
  • Maintain strong internal controls 
  • Collaborate closely with global, cross-functional teams. 

Qualifications and Skills: 

You hold a relevant academic degree within accounting or finance, and you have +5 years of experience in accounting and finance operations within an international environment.  

Furthermore, you have: 

  • Strong experience with vendor accounting, payment processes, expense management, and period-end closing 
  • Solid understanding of VAT compliance and statistical reporting across multiple EU jurisdictions 
  • Strong systems knowledge, particularly Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations; experience with ExFlow and expense management tools is an advantage 
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills across functions and geographies

Travel: 5-10 days per year.
