Role Summary
We’re looking for a technically strong, detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join our India Financial Control team. In this role, you will own the legal entity’s financial reporting, compliance, and balance sheet integrity, alongside coordination of outsourced functions (AP, AR, GP and Payroll) and support for internal audit and tax compliance activities.
What You Will Do
Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close for the India entity, ensuring adherence to Group and Local GAAP.
Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements with a focus on accuracy, completeness, and control.
Own the entity balance sheet and reconciliation reviews, ensuring timely resolution of variances.
Provides cost and variance analysis on actuals versus budget and forecast, ensuring significant variances investigated, explained and communicated.
Manage cash flow forecasting and reporting, intercompany settlements, and compliance with Group treasury policy.
Review the transfer pricing adjustments posted systemically and ensure segmental profit is attained as per the intercompany agreements.
Oversee all statutory payments TDS, VAT, Custom duty, Employee related statutory liabilities (PF, PT, ESI, LWF) and any other local regulatory reporting requirements.
Review share-based payments to employees as per Groups share based benefits plans, ensure compliance to local GAAP regulations.
Coordinate preparation and filing of annual statutory accounts and support both internal and external audit processes.
What You Will Bring
Experience: 2+ post qualification experience, as a Chartered Accountant (CA)
ERP expertise: Deep hands-on experience with SAP ERP, along with Excel/ Power BI.
Technical expertise: Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and Local GAAP.
Exposure: Working with external auditors and tax advisors.
Organization & Agility: Proven ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and time zones
Mindset: Detail-oriented, adaptable, and focused on learning and improving
Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements.
