Your Responsibilities

As an Accountant at Centogene Spain, you will support the Finance team by managing daily accounting tasks and ensuring compliance with internal policies and local regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general accounting activities including invoice processing, filing (including fax filing), and document management
  • Prepare and review VAT declarations and ensure compliance with Spanish tax regulations
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
  • Support the reconciliation of accounts and preparation of journal entries
  • Manage vendor and customer accounting-related requests
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records and support document archiving processes
  • Assist with internal and external audits, providing relevant documentation
  • Collaborate with colleagues in Spain and international finance teams to ensure alignment and accuracy
  • Contribute to process improvements and support implementation of digitization initiatives

Your profile

Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or comparable qualification
  • 2 years of experience in accounting or a similar role (experience in Spain preferred)
  • Knowledge of Spanish VAT and general tax regulations
  • Experience with ERP systems (preferably Microsoft D365 or equivalent)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Fluency in Spanish & English (written and spoken); 
  • Experience working in an international environment is desirable
  • High level of reliability, responsibility, and problem-solving mindset
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks while meeting deadlines
  • Proactive and structured working style
