We’re now expanding our Finance Team in Latvia and looking for a proactive Accountant, ready to take ownership of daily accounting processes and help us build a strong, compliant financial foundation.
What You’ll Do
- Manage everyday accounting operations under Latvian regulatory requirements (VASP/EMI framework).
- Handle general ledger postings, expense recognition, and at the later date intercompany transactions.
- Prepare and submit monthly VAT returns, payroll entries, and management reports.
- Support preparation of audited financial statements and coordination with external auditors and tax advisors.
- Take part in deploying our next generation cloud ERP system.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data inside banking, crypto custody, and payment systems.
- Collaborate closely with our finance, compliance, and product teams to align financial data flows with regulatory requirements.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- 3–5 years of experience in accounting— fintech, banking, or technology sectors is an advantage.
- Solid knowledge of Latvian accounting standards and tax principles.
- Confidence working with ERP and cloud accounting tools is a plus.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem solving skills.
- Excellent command of English (written and spoken).
- Team player attitude and ability to work independently in a fast-moving environment.
