Analyze and verify internal consistency, completeness and mathematical accuracy of accounting documents, make adjustments, as necessary;
Assign prescribed accounting distribution codes;
Perform account reconciliation; troubleshoot and analyze discrepancies;
Responsible in preparing, adjusting and closing journal entries;
Investigate, review and verify accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications assigned to various records;
Coordinate accounting matters with other departments, locations and divisions. (ie Customer Service, Procurement, Warehouse, etc);
Manage the preparation of monthly and year-end closings according to Local/US GAAP;
Liaise relationship between Internal Dept. and External Auditors to fulfill all Audit requirements;
Preparation of the VAT and other local taxes for Italy;
Assist on Tax Return Declaration, such as: Annual Tax Return, Fatturazione Elettronica, Intrastat;
Ensuring compliance with all Avery Dennison Policies (Accounting & non Accounting related).

Bachelor’s Degree in Economy or related field;
2-4 years accounting & taxes (Corporate or Big Four);
Fluency in English
Understands fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of accounting and general ledger;
Very good analytical skills and knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles are essential;
Very good IT knowledge, in particular Excel and Oracle exposure;
HFM Knowledge as a nice to have.
