Accountant (15 months maternity leave replacement)

Responsibilities  

• Process and maintain daily financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Review and allocate corporate credit card transactions to the appropriate accounts and accounting periods
• Perform weekly and monthly bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies when needed
• Record and reconcile monthly revenue entries
• Support the month-end close
• Collaborate with the Facilities Department to ensure transaction details and documentation are complete
• Review and approve employee benefit reimbursement requests in accordance with internal policy
• Assist in analytical review and investigation of monthly financial performance of Company
  
• Finance point of contact for all questions

Qualification/Experience  

• 1-2 years of experience in bookkeeping, financial reporting or similar financial operations role
• Experience and understanding of accounting processes
• Familiarity with SME accounting software like Xero, QBO or Sage
• Good knowledge of financial reporting
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Suite (with emphasis on Excel skills)
• Good communication skills in French & English
