Account Manager- Trust Accounting

About the Role

As an Account Manager at Rex RealTrust, you will own the end-to-end lifecycle of your client portfolio, from onboarding through to long-term relationship management and service optimisation.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will work closely with Team Leads, Trust Accountants and Property Management Assistants to ensure clients receive a consistent, high-quality service. You will act as the voice of the customer internally, proactively identifying risks, training needs and opportunities for improvement, while ensuring your client group operates at peak productivity.

This is a hands-on, commercially minded role suited to someone who thrives on building strong client relationships, providing operational oversight and driving continuous improvement.


What You’ll Be Responsible For

Client Onboarding

  • Lead the onboarding of new clients, ensuring a smooth transition into Rex RealTrust systems and processes
  • Understand existing client workflows and align them with Rex RealTrust best practice
  • Partner with Trust Accountants and Property Management Assistants during the first two to four weeks (depending on complexity) to establish strong foundations

Client Relationship Management

  • Act as the primary relationship manager for assigned clients
  • Schedule regular client check-ins (weekly during onboarding, transitioning to monthly once embedded)
  • Conduct client visits where appropriate to strengthen partnerships
  • Monitor service satisfaction and gather client feedback
  • Develop and deliver quarterly business review meetings

Team Collaboration & Oversight

  • Partner with Team Leads to ensure Trust Accountants are meeting client expectations
  • Provide structured feedback to Team Leads and support quality assurance escalations
  • Work with the Training Manager to identify capability gaps and training needs
  • Deliver occasional group training sessions to uplift capability across teams
  • Manage workload and portfolio allocation across Team Leads, Trust Accountants and Property Management Assistants to ensure balanced and efficient resourcing
  • Facilitate regular team segment meetings to track performance and workforce effectiveness

Feedback, Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Act as the central feedback link between clients, operations and leadership
  • Escalate recurring issues and risks in a timely and considered way
  • Provide regular reporting on client health, risks and opportunities
  • Ensure client satisfaction feedback and insights drive tangible service improvements
