The Account Manager - Sports drives both growth of existing sellers and onboarding of new partners in refurbed’s fastest-growing category. You’ll act as the commercial backbone for Sports: balancing account management, new business development, and category expansion. You will manage current partners across subcategories; while scouting and launching new sellers in current plus emerging areas.
WHO YOU ARE:
- You hold a university degree, with 2+ years of experience in Account Management, ideally with marketplace and/or retail businesses
- You command English at a professional level; German is a plus
- Proven experience in managing and growing accounts, driving performance improvements, and coordinating operational projects with a hands-on mentality and entrepreneurial mindset
- You are passionate about working with people and can effectively communicate, influence, and build trust with stakeholders at different levels
- You bring a tech and AI-first mindset to your approach, coupled with strong critical thinking skills
- You are resilient, learning from setbacks without losing momentum, and bring a structured, analytical approach to problem-solving
- Curious about Sports and motivated by building a new category.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Take ownership of a defined seller portfolio, with a focus on growing accounts and unlocking new opportunities across countries, categories, and products
- Identify and onboard new sellers and brands to expand the Sports assortment.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with current and new sellers, acting as their trusted partner while always representing refurbed’s position
- Serve as a problem-solver and advocate for your accounts, collaborating with internal teams to identify solutions and drive innovation
- Ensure a smooth operational setup and ongoing performance by guiding sellers through our marketplace processes and working closely with cross-functional teams
- Analyze performance and identify growth levers, helping sellers to maximize their potential on the platform
- Be part of an international, dynamic, and hands-on team with flat hierarchies and direct engagement with leadership to drive strategic initiatives
