We are looking for a passionate Media Partnerships Manager to join our Media Team in Shanghai. As an Media Partnerships Manager at Hypebeast, you will drive the media business development and media sales revenues in China. This role will be reporting to the Senior Manager of Media Partnerships.
You will be responsible for media revenue generation and holding ultimate accountability for the delivery of your individual revenue and margin goals. You will need to build and maintain strong relationships with external brand partners and sell Hypebeast’s large suite of media products and services to fulfill the needs and wants of the clients. You will proactively explore new opportunities in various brand categories, visit prospects, and secure partnerships. As this is a managerial position, you will need to have a deep understanding of the media landscape in China, a strong network of clients across many categories, a track record of successful brand partnership cases, a seasoned practice of media advertising, an eye for creative excellence, a rich experience in the production process as well as a profound passion for youth culture and Hypebeast.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with internal teams, external partners and clients to ensure execution excellence in process and delivering the best results possible.
Understand, articulate and translate complex tasks into actionable plans and instructions to guide the team to ensure quality deliverables.
Communicate effectively and work efficiently with clients in project implementation stages to provide services and solutions.
Create, manage and oversee timelines, budgets, production plans and contracts while maintaining operational and billing accuracy.
Work closely with the Editorial Team and Creative Team to uphold the standards of the Hypebeast brand in all the works we do.
Track project timelines and deadlines to guarantee that all teams and crews are kept informed and worked against.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in communications, advertising, marketing, or other equivalent professional experiences.
Minimal 3 to 4 years of experience from creative or media production industry, previously working at a media company or an advertising agency.
Up to date on fashion, music, art and entertainment, as well as the knowledge about Hypebeast culture and the youth culture on both regional and global level.
Punctual and methodical, with a stellar memory and with airtight organisational skills – a person the team can count on to be on top of everything, keeping track of multiple projects at once without letting details slide through the cracks.
Be humble and willing to tackle sometimes mundane but essential tasks with overall openness to learn.
The ability to take directions and work independently to troubleshoot technical and process related issues to get a job done.
Excellent communication skills both externally and internally, a people-person who knows how to get the best out of the teams while keeping a good relationship with trusted vendors, creatives and freelancers.
Good command of English and the proficiency of other languages within the APAC region is a plus.
