Account Manager

The Sales Account Manager drives revenue growth through client relationship management and strategic account planning while ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction and retention.

The Sales Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of customer accounts, driving revenue, strengthening client relationships, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience. This role combines strategic account planning with day-to-day sales execution to achieve organizational goals.

Requirements

Account Management & Client Relationships   

  • Primary point of contact of assigned accounts, building long-term strategic partnerships.
  • Understand client needs, business goals, and challenges to recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Resolve issues, manage escalations, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Partner with internal teams (product development, marketing, customer service, etc.) to support customer acquisition, ensuring alignment with customer needs. 
  • Serve as the customer advocate during the product development process, providing feedback and insights from the market to shape offerings. 
  • Own and resolve customer issues or concerns, ensuring a positive customer experience and long-term retention. 

Sales & Revenue Growth

  • Develop account plans to expand revenue through upselling, cross‑selling, and renewals.
  • Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts and emerging markets.
  • Manage the full sales cycle—including proposals, pricing, negotiations, and contract execution.
  • Establish customer-led sales forecasts for new opportunities and communicate these to planning and production teams for efficient delivery scheduling. 
  • Obtain and process purchase orders, and communicate delivery schedules, ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment. 
  • Continually assess customer buying patterns, upsell relevant products, and introduce new lines to drive sales growth. 

Negotiation

  • Support the facilitation of negotiations and contract agreements in partnership with leadership, pricing, and legal teams, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and compliance requirements

Customer Success Partnership

  • Work closely with customer success and support teams to ensure smooth onboarding, training, and product adoption.
  • Anticipate and identify the customers’ needs and grown areas. Develop holistic solutions to deliver value to the customer.
