We are seeking a strategic and commercially astute Account Manager – Flight Distribution to
manage and grow our key relationships with GDS partners and flight aggregators. This role is pivotal
to shaping and executing the company’s flight distribution strategy, securing differentiated flight
content, and driving revenue growth across our flight-only and dynamic packaging propositions.


The successful candidate will:
● Work cross-functionally with our Flight Product and Air Commercial teams, playing a central role
in shaping the future of our flight inventory access.
● Be a strong negotiator, comfortable dealing with high-value, strategic partners
● Have a deep technical understanding of EDIFACT, NDC protocols, and the LCC distribution
landscape.


This is a high-impact role with visibility across the business, requiring exceptional communication
skills, commercial acumen, and the ability to represent lastminute.com at trade shows, events, and
partner meetings.

Key Responsibilities
Own and manage relationships with flight distribution partners, including GDS providers and aggregators, ensuring strong commercial outcomes and innovative content access.
Develop and execute flight distribution strategy in line with broader business goals, securing competitive and differentiated inventory across all flight types (legacy, LCC, NDC).
Negotiate distribution agreements, commercials, and marketing contributions with GDS and aggregator partners, ensuring alignment with internal profitability and growth targets.
● Collaborate extensively with Product, Air Commercial, Legal, Finance, and Data teams to execute distribution strategies and resolve operational issues.
● Maintain expert knowledge of airline distribution technologies, with a focus on EDIFACT, NDC, and LCC, and actively contribute insights into how these affect our flight sourcing strategy.
● Provide accurate forecasting, budget input, and account reporting, offering strategic insight into partner performance and future opportunities

● Represent the Flight Distribution function across internal meetings, external forums, and industry events or trade shows as required.
● Identify and evaluate new distribution channels and technologies that support growth, efficiency, and improved customer offerings.
● Act as the voice of the distribution partners internally—translating their needs into product enhancements, commercial priorities, and marketing initiatives.

● Proven experience in managing commercial partnerships with GDS, aggregators, or other flight distribution platforms.
● Solid understanding of airline distribution technologies, including EDIFACT, NDC, and LCC connectivity.
● Background in travel e-commerce, OTA, tour operators, or air travel platforms.
● Demonstrated success in negotiating high-value contracts and driving commercial outcomes with strategic partners.
● Comfortable working with data - able to interpret analytics, derive insights, and present actionable recommendations.
