Overview 

Opendorse is hiring an Account Manager, Collegiate Partnerships (Renewals Lead) to join our Collegiate Partnerships team, focused on retaining and growing relationships with our Non-Division I partners across collegiate athletics. This role plays a critical part in shaping and executing our renewal strategy working directly with athletic departments to ensure continued value, measurable ROI, and long-term success as NIL, compliance, and athlete support continue to evolve.
 
The ideal candidate is sales-driven, has a strong understanding of the collegiate athletics ecosystem, and is highly organized. They are comfortable owning a book of business, leading renewal and expansion conversations with athletic administrators, and collaborating cross-functionally to drive retention, growth, and partner satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities 


  • Own all Non-Division I renewals and retention strategy, serving as the primary point of contact for existing partner.
  • Manage a small new-business territory alongside renewal responsibilities.
  • Execute renewal conversations, negotiations, and contract extensions with Opendorse partners.
  • Identify and evaluate expansion opportunities within existing Opendorse partners.
  • Collaborate closely with the Collegiate Partnerships and Collegiate Services teams to align strategy and deliver value to Opendorse partners.
  • Participate in and support partner strategy sessions, helping guide long-term success and adoption.
  • Attend industry events and conventions to strengthen relationships with current partners and represent Opendorse.
  • Travel to partner campuses to meet with current Opendorse partners (approximately 25% travel)

Required Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience in sales, account management, renewals, or customer success, preferably in a SaaS or consultative sales environment, with higher education and or collegiate athletics experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage renewals, retain accounts, and drive upsell or expansion revenue within an existing book of business.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders including athletic administrators and campus leadership.
  • Comfortable working in a quota-carrying, performance-driven environment.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple partners, renewal cycles, and timelines simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel and engage partners in person, including visits to college campuses and industry events.
