Account Executive

TLDR

Build a new client portfolio in a logistics setting, managing an active client base while driving sales and collaborating in a supportive global network.

This is a pure hunter role. You'll be responsible for building a new client portfolio from scratch, prospecting, pitching, and closing, with the backing of a global logistics network. You won't be handed accounts. You'll go get them.

You'll sell integrated logistics solutions: ocean, air, ground, customs brokerage, and warehousing. The ideal candidate thinks in 4PL and 5PL terms, not just moving freight, but owning the full supply chain conversation.

What you'll do

  • Prospect, qualify, and close new B2B clients across all industry sectors
  • Develop and manage an active portfolio of 15–30 clients generating consistent profitability
  • Conduct 30+ client visits per month and submit 100+ proposals and quotes
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities across ocean, air, ground, customs, and warehousing
  • Analyze clients via platforms like SISEX to identify volume and potential
  • Work alongside a Sales Reporting specialist who supports quoting and proposal structuring
  • Participate in global sales reviews and lead client negotiations at senior level

Requirements

What you bring

  • Solid experience in a freight forwarder or logistics agent — this is non-negotiable
  • Deep knowledge of import/export operations: ocean and air freight
  • Experience with national and international ground transport
  • Familiarity with customs processes in Colombia and internationally
  • Knowledge of warehousing and storage solutions
  • Ideally, a 4PL/5PL mindset — you sell the full supply chain solution, not just rates
  • Advanced English (C1) — required for global team meetings and a final interview abroad
  • Consultative selling skills: you listen first, then propose solutions
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage pipeline, quotes, and profitability analysis
  • Comfort working in manual, Excel-based environments while systems are being developed
  • Own vehicle — you'll spend most of your time in the field
