Walz Tetrick Advertising is growing! As we continue to expand our team, we are looking for an experienced Account Director to join us. As the Account Director, you will be responsible for the strategic development and management of client brands. This role requires a visionary leader who can conceptualize, plan, and execute brand strategies that drive brand recognition, customer engagement, and market success. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that the agency's creative work aligns seamlessly with the client's brand objectives.
Responsibilities:
Lead the strategic development and ongoing management of client brands
Build deep client partnerships through a strong understanding of business objectives, challenges, customers, competitors, and industry insights
Translate business goals into strategic marketing initiatives that drive measurable results
Develop and track KPIs to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing initiatives
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and manage all client-related communications
Present strategic recommendations and work confidently to senior client stakeholders
Review and approve scopes of work that clearly define deliverables, timelines, and budgets
Provide strategic leadership to ensure client brand objectives are achieved across all agency disciplines
Lead, mentor, and develop team members through coaching, training, and performance feedback
Foster a collaborative, innovative, and growth-oriented team culture
Manage internal teams to deliver work on time, on budget, and at a high standard of quality
Conduct regular performance reviews and support professional development for direct reports
Contribute to agency growth by identifying and supporting new business opportunities
Participate in RFPs, pitches, and new business presentations
Stay current on industry trends and competitive dynamics to inform strategic decisions
Manage account financial health, including revenue projections, billing authorization, and budget oversight
Partner with accounting to review aging reports and follow up on outstanding client payments
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, or a related field
8 to 10 years of ad agency experience
Experience managing direct reports
Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and presentation abilities
Experience with brand strategy, market research, and competitive analysis
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Experience working across all agency disciplines including creative, media, digital, analytics, and production
Financial acumen with experience managing budgets and maintaining account profitability
Growth-minded, innovative, and solutions-oriented approach to account leadership
Self-starter with a strong desire to make an impact in a growing agency
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook
Willingness to travel as needed
