MAIN DUTIES                           

The Programme Manager leads the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the UITP Academy Training Services Portfolio. This includes defining training content, ensuring market relevance, coordinating methodologies, designing new products and formats, and supporting strategic initiatives of the Academy. The role serves as the content architect of UITP Academy’s global portfolio and drives consistency, quality, and innovation across all training services—including online, in-person, executive, certified, and peer review formats.

RESPONSIBILITIES                     

  1.     Define, maintain, and continuously update the UITP Academy Training Services Portfolio.

  2.     Ensure the portfolio reflects current and emerging market needs, member priorities, and the Voice of Customer analysis.

  3.     Lead the development of new programmes, formats, and methodological frameworks aligned with the Academy Strategy (freemium, certificates, workshop architecture, executive streams, bundles).

  4.     Define course structures, objectives, learning pathways, and assessment methods. Oversee the creation and updating of training.

  5.     Help to select and brief trainers/experts, ensuring they meet UITP quality and content standards. Manage the trainers pool.

  6.     Develop and maintain content guidelines, templates, methodologies, and knowledge management structures.

  7.     Coordinate with K&I teams and Working Bodies to integrate latest expertise

  8.     Coordinate trainer onboarding, evaluation, and improvement processes together Advisory Board

  9.     Coordinate and manage UITP Academy’s peer review activities and related expert services.

  10. Support the Academy’s commercial development by preparing programme concepts, proposals, ToRs, and content elements for client discussions.

  11. Support training managers to develop/conduct a training programme in Learning Management System

  12. Support Training Managers to run the Developing Agencies Projects; speakers management, documentation , report review and agreement follow up.

  13. Fulfills his/her responsibilities and tasks according to UITP’S values.

 

 

Requirements

Keys competencies:

·       Preferably candidate should have a Master’s degree in engineering, planning, mobility or in education, learning & development, management, public policy, transport, or a related field. Equivalent professional experience in training and learning design will be considered.

·       Minimum 3-5 years of relevant professional experience in training programme development, learning portfolio management, or capacity-building activities, preferably in an international or membership-based environment.

·       Strong market awareness and ability to translate member needs into relevant learning solutions

·       Ability to understand the challenges of PT sector to integrate latest technical expertise into structured and consistent training content

·       First experience or at least proven willingness to support commercial activities through programme concepts, proposals, and terms of reference

·       Familiarity with Learning Management Systems and digital training implementation is a plus

·       Strong project management skills for complex, multi-stakeholder training initiatives

·       High level of organizational skills, attention to detail, and respect for quality and deadlines

·       Ability to operate in an international, multicultural, and values-driven organization

·       Excellent presentation and communication skills in English (working language) other languages being assets

·       Willingness to travel in Europe and outside if necessary

Additional Information

Position is based in Brussels.

Salary range (to comply with salary transparency policy): band 22, salary based on competences and experience.

Range : min 3.500 euros gross/m - mid 4.500 euros - max 5.200 euros gross/m + benefits (lunch vouchers, public transport reimbursement, laptop and mobile phone, group insurances, health care and hospitalization insurances, collective bonus based on policy)
