Responsibilities: include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Ensure all employees understand and abide by all Company safety rules, regulations, and policies. Ensure that safe and sanitary working conditions are maintained in the facility in accordance with Company standards, as well as state & federal laws and regulations. Ensure all employees understand their OSHA rights. Conduct safety training topics as required or needed. Responsible for scheduling employees to attend all assigned safety meetings, toolbox talks, and safety training sessions. Promptly investigate all incidents and near misses, completing appropriate reports and taking action to eliminate root causes.

Manage all operational aspects of the assigned area by supervising hourly personnel and providing accountability for safety, quality, and production results. Assign and instruct the workforce to ensure work is performed in accordance with established procedures and process control documentation while maintaining a steady flow of quality products in a safe and clean environment.

Ensure continuity between shifts through effective communication and standardized area practices. Conduct shift handoff meetings, establish daily work priorities, and escalate downtime issues or operational concerns to appropriate management levels in a timely manner.

Establish area practices and goals for continuous improvement by coordinating resources toward identified problems or weaknesses and facilitating improvement projects using Lean Manufacturing tools to improve safety, quality, and production throughput. Maintain and continuously improve 5S standards within the assigned area.

Coordinate and facilitate all area training for hourly and salaried personnel, and monitor, update, and maintain process documentation, including method sheets and One Minute Lessons, to ensure alignment with current practices.

Coordinate area staffing by approving vacation, PTO, shift modifications, and overtime distribution in accordance with Company guidelines.

Document employee performance, behaviors, and conduct, administering coaching, corrective action, or discipline as required in accordance with Company and HR policies.

Monitor operations on an ongoing basis to ensure equipment is in proper working condition, employees are following procedures, and work areas are maintained in a clean and safe condition. Take immediate action when processes operate outside of control parameters and elevate concerns to appropriate management levels.

Complete required daily and routine reports, including production, downtime, attendance, and absentee reports, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.

Enforce Company regulations, procedures, and operational priorities as established by plant leadership. Communicate professionally and effectively with employees and fellow supervisors at all times.

Participate actively in quality improvement initiatives and the Victaulic Product Delivery System (VPDS) by conducting scheduled employee involvement activities and training meetings.

Qualifications: (education, experience, skills, personal attributes)
- High School Graduate (College Preferred).
- Five years’ experience in Manufacturing operations.
- Must be willing to work extended hours, weekends, or other shifts if required.
- Must keep a professional appearance.
- Must maintain a good performance and attendance record.
- Must be physically and mentally capable of handling exerting and/or stressful situations.
- Must be able to conduct and participate in meetings.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
