Currently working with international clients, and we are looking for a Design Engineer – Body Interior (Hard & Soft Trim) will be responsible for the comprehensive development of vehicle interior components, combining design activities (30%) with development engineering responsibilities (DRE, 70%). The role requires technical expertise, deliverable management, interaction with suppliers, and proficiency in PLM/CAD tools.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop components and assemblies using CATIA / 3DX.
- Lead Class A surface refinement ensuring styling alignment and manufacturability.
- Apply GD&T and conduct dimensional variation/tolerance studies.
- Ensure compliance with VOC, regulatory, packaging, clearance, DFA/DFS requirements.
- Support CAE reviews and incorporate validation feedback.
- Perform feasibility for stamping, tooling, and manufacturing processes.
- Ensure high craftsmanship standards: gap & flush, fit & finish.
- Prepare and manage DFMEA, DVPR, SCCAF, and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with suppliers, purchasing, and plant teams.
- Manage design data, BOM, and releases in PLM.
- Support prototype builds, timing milestones, and RFQ activities.
Requirements
Must‑Have Qualifications

4+ years of experience in automotive interior design or development (hard & soft trim).
- Proven experience as a DRE, DRE support, or Product Engineer.
- Proficiency in CAD tools: CATIA and/or 3DX (3DExperience).
- Strong knowledge of GD&T, tolerances, variation analysis, and parametric design.
- Experience with manufacturing processes, feasibility, interfaces, and validations.
- Knowledge of DFMEA, DVPR, and technical development documentation.
- Knowledge of DFMEA/DFA, injection molding, and tooling processes.
- Experience with PLM systems, BOM management, and engineering release processes.

Preferred Skills
- Experience with interior trim components, such as IP, console, door trim, pillar trim, bezels, or soft trim.
- Knowledge of CAE, basic stress analysis, or mechanical validations.

- Previous participation in vehicle launches or global programs.
- Experience with RFQs, costs, and sourcing/supplier support.
