Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual who excels in collaborative problem-solving and patent/academic writing. The role involves working closely with a team of experts in Generative AI at the Visual Display Intelligence Lab (VDIL) to develop groundbreaking technological advancements in on-device AI using Large Language Models (LLMs).

Position Responsibilities:

Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to design and implement state-of-the-art LLM-based AI solutions.
Translate theoretical knowledge into actionable applications for real-world problems.
Review and refine LLM-based models for efficiency and effectiveness.
Work closely with a team of researchers and engineers to integrate LLMs into existing systems.
Identify emerging trends in LLM technology and contribute to their advancement.
Draft and submit research papers and patents related to LLM-driven AI solutions.

Required Skills:

Currently enrolled in a MS or PhD (preferred) program in Computer Science , Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning or related discipline (with focus on Machine Learning) or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
Strong expertise in Generative AI, Data Science, and Machine Learning
Proficiency in Python and PyTorch
Experience with open-source libraries and frameworks relevant to LLM development
A strong interest in collaborating with industry partners and contributing to the advancement of LLM technologies
Good written and oral communication skills
Ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Within the hourly pay rate range, individual rates depend on a number of factors—including the role’s function and location as well as the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, education and training. This is part of our comprehensive compensation package with annual bonus eligibility and generous benefits to help you live life well.
