Position Overview

StepStone Private Debt is seeking a detail-oriented individual to join the team and provide comprehensive support across multiple business functions. This role offers exposure to senior professionals in areas such as research and investment, legal and compliance, monitoring and reporting, operations, and sales. The intern will contribute to presenting Private Debt’s service offerings and investment products to institutional investors, assist with client servicing, and support internal processes that drive efficiency and growth.

The person should have a solid understanding of investments and private markets, strong project management and writing skills

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide support to various teams on business development, client servicing, and research as required.
    • Assist in the preparation, updating, and optimisation of presentations, pitch decks, and marketing materials.
    • Coordinate and respond to internal and external information requests, including RfPs, DDQs, and client inquiries.
    • Support the creation, maintenance, and accuracy of databases, reports, and case studies.
    • Assist portfolio managers and team members with portfolio analysis, monitoring, and performance reviews.
    • Contribute to the development and updating of internal and external communications and documentation.
  • Participate in ad hoc projects and analyses across business functions (e.g., investments, operations, reporting).
  • Provide administrative support for planning, data entry, and project coordination.
  • Collaborate with multiple teams to ensure consistent messaging and up-to-date information.
  • Undertake other duties as assigned to support the needs of the business.

Education/Work Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required, concentration in finance, business administration, economics, or equivalent preferred
  • Fluency in English is required, German is beneficial but not mandatory
  • Must be able to commit at least 6 months
  • Highly motivated individual with demonstrated initiative, independence and adaptability
  • Proficiency in Excel, Powerpoint, Word and other Microsoft office programs
  • Strong ability to multi-task and prioritize workflow in fast-paced, detail-oriented environment
  • Follow up skills and acute attention to accuracy and detail are essential
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outputs in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-starter with a proactive mindset and a strong focus on efficiency, data quality, and continuous process enhancement.
