About the Team:

As an intern on the Funds team, you will gain hands-on experience at one of the fastest-growing credit rating agencies and develop skills that are highly valued across the financial services industry. The Funds team assigns and monitors credit ratings on a broad range of debt instruments issued by private market funds. Our growing portfolio covers strategies including private equity and private credit.

 Key Job Requirements:

  • Have completed an undergraduate degree (or postgraduate study if applicable) by June 2026 in a finance or quantitative-related field.
  • Be on track to achieve, or have already achieved, a minimum 2:1 degree (or equivalent) from an accredited college or university.
  • Be business proficient in English (written and spoken).
  • To qualify, applicants must be legally authorised to work in the UK and should not require sponsorship (current or future) for employment visa status.

Required Key Skills:

  • Strong analytical capability with excellent attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
  • A genuine interest in financial markets and credit rating analysis.
  • Proficiency in Excel and a comfort working with data, with a strong appetite to broaden technical and financial modelling skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a diverse and inclusive team.

What You Can Expect

During the programme, you will:

  • Develop both technical and qualitative analytical skills through hands-on experience to new issuance and surveillance transactions.
  • Support in preparing analysis for internal credit memos and research publications.
  • Assist with implementing key initiatives and projects to support the continuous improvement of processes.
  • Work directly with experienced analysts and learn from firm experts through initiatives such as the KBRA Lunch & Learn sessions.
  • Receive guidance and mentorship from your manager, peer mentor, senior leaders, and members of the team.
  • Build a global professional network by working with colleagues across KBRA’s international offices.
  • Develop skills, knowledge and professional relationships that will support your long-term success.
