About This Role:

We are looking for a full-time On-site English Classroom Teacher to help build and teach our English Language Arts (ELA) program for 1st - 3rd grade students in San Jose, California. This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who loves working with young learners and has strong experience in early literacy, reading, writing, and classroom instruction. As this is one of our first English academic programs, we are looking for someone who can not only teach effectively, but also help shape a warm, structured, and engaging learning experience for children. The successful candidate will work alongside our Silicon Valley teaching team while also focusing on the operational aspects of our business.


Job Responsibilities: 

  • Teaching Related - Plan and execute teaching related activities, which include
    • Teaching short-term and long-term group English/ELA classes in our top design classroom setting for Grade 1- Grade 3
    • Plan and deliver engaging lesson in: phonic, reading comprehension, vocabulary, sentence building and etc.
    • Create positive, structured and age-appropriate classroom enviornment and learning needs
    • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to parents to support long-term english growth
  • Business Operation Related
    • Involve in recuritment & marketing project - such as conduct new student evaluation & conduct in-person events, trial class and ect.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Experience in ELA, reading intervention, ESL/ELL, or lower elementary education
  • Passionate about the education industry, and has the strong will to motivate and inspire students; must be patient and empathetic when working with students.
  • Excellent organizational skills and has a strong sense of responsibility.
  • A team player who is able to collaborate effectively with other teachers and staff.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Start at $70 - 90/teaching hour + $20-25/non-teaching hour + teaching commission bonus 15%-30%; Targeting 7w - 8w+ annual pay for your first year.
