The Senior Corporate Counsel will serve as a key legal advisor on a wide range of substantive areas, with a focus on advising on various HR and employment matters regulatory compliance (including privacy), contract negotiations, corporate governance,  and strategic business initiatives. This role requires a seasoned legal professional who can effectively manage multiple projects and provide counsel to a variety of stakeholders across AGSI and its affiliates.  This role will report to the General Counsel of AGSI. 

Responsibilities:
 

  • Provide practical legal advice on a broad variety of legal matters, including advising all functional areas within AGSI, including HR (on employment-related matters), Finance, Facilities and Operations
  • Advise on privacy and related data protection matters
  • Draft, review and negotiate a range of commercial contracts including facilities, service providers and intercompany service agreements
  • Partner with various stakeholders to identify, evaluate and address legal and regulatory risks; monitor and track relevant federal, state and local legislation applicable to AGSI
  • Support cross-functional teams (HR, Finance, Operations) on legal and compliance matters
  • Provide training to the business on applicable legal and contractual issues
  • Work on other projects and corporate initiatives as assigned
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, analyze, and provide practical legal guidance, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Work collaboratively and develop strong relationships across AGSI as well as with group functions
  • Strong time management with the ability to work under pressure and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.                                                       
  • Insurance experience is desired but not a mandatory requirement.
  • Microsoft Office Suite 
  • 5 – 8 years of relevant post qualification experience combining corporate, commercial, and employment law
  • Solid law firm or in-house experience in a regional or global company or in a business process outsourcing company.
  • Member of the Philippine Bar in good standing
  • Bachelor of Laws or Juris Doctor Degree from a reputable university
