Schedule: Night Shift
Arch is looking for a Software Engineer with experience in finance and various financial systems.
Job Responsibilities:
- Supports and works with agile teams to mature automated processes, such as assisting and executing build management, continuous integration, environment deployments, release management and continuous monitoring.
- Maintains standards, configurations, and scripts dealing with cloud-based and on-prem instances and services.
- Supports and provide servers / environments to the development teams to allow the easy creation/update/deletion of needed test environments.
- Supports and works with other engineers in the automation and set up of new servers, switches, firewalls, load balancers and operating systems in both on premise and cloud-based infrastructures for the execution of Infrastructure as Code.
- As part of Agile teams, completes complex software development work involving creative application of design, coding and debugging methods and techniques. Keeps Agile team and APM updated on product status.
- Reviews logs to support security processes; ensures the infrastructure and build pipeline is running optimally and automated and scheduled operations are successful.
- Plans, documents, implements, and oversees infrastructure upgrades and configuration changes.
- Recommends, purchases, and evaluates new technologies based on business, end-user, and technology requirements and expertise.
- Assists in the design of and participates in disaster recovery planning, testing, and response with a focus on system recoverability.
- Supports business units in the resolution of in-depth user questions and issues.
- Maintains a working knowledge of new technology and software engineering standards & practices.
- Collaborates with IT management to define and develop documentation & engineering artifact standards, guidelines, processes, and templates.
Required Skills:
- Power BI, Finance/Accounting Knowledge, Workday, Accounting Software Support, Decision Focus Power App and Decision Focus, Snowflake (is a plus).

Finance technology experience in a corporate environment
- Experience with General Ledger Accounting and Reporting systems (GL, AR, AP, Consolidations etc.)
- Experience with ERP systems, Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains
- Experience with monitoring tools for infrastructure monitoring, reporting, and alerting processes.
- Demonstrated success in supporting development and infrastructure teams.
- Expertise in proactive management of production systems.
- Experienced in scalable, high-availability back end technologies Oracle and SQL Server
- Experience with Insurance / Reinsurance Systems and Data
- Experience in supporting 3rd Party hosted systems
- Convey technical concepts in a clear, understandable way
- Make decisions in a fast-paced, deadline-driven and rapidly changing environment
- Establish credibility, influence, and effective working relationships with peers and stakeholders
- Interact and partner at all levels across the organization
- Ability to be both strategic and tactical in day to day interactions
- Understanding of reporting tools like Power BI, OneStream
- Knowledge and experience with APIs and API development with microservices is required.
- Knowledge of AWS development and deployment is nice to have.
- Knowledge of Alteryx Analytics, Gtreasury, Concur and/or CoreIntegrator systems is nice to have
- Experience with ETL development, data manipulation and transformation. SSIS, SSRS a plus.
- Other helpful tool knowledge a plus including HTML, SAS, SQL and XML.
- Understanding of the project management software JIRA a plus.
- Solid design and implementation experience
- Required knowledge & skills would typically be acquired through a bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field plus 5+ years of related experience.
- The ideal candidate will have experience in the solutions delivery space (e.g. creating and deploying applications from at least one of the popular modern language stacks)
