We are seeking a dedicated and friendly 1st Line IT Support professional to join our IT Team at Car Benefit Solutions. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for technical support, helping to resolve IT issues and ensuring a smooth technology experience for our employees and clients.


This is a full-time, office-based position, working 35 hours per week from Monday to Friday. The annual salary for this role ranges from £23,000 to £26,000.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide friendly and excellent first line support to staff, clients, and visitors based on priorities and agreed service levels.
  • Take responsibility for setting up, maintaining, and organising repairs to various computing and audio visual (AV) equipment in boardrooms and meeting rooms. Offering advice on upgrades when necessary. Our main technology includes laptops and a combination of AV technologies such as Barco, Bose, Logitech, and Nureva.
  • Regularly check the status of any phishing emails reported by end users using our current Phishing.i.o system.
  • Manage the ordering, maintenance, and allocation of all mobile phones and disposals. Keep thorough and up-to-date records of all transactions.
  • Ensure that the CBS asset management system records, using ManageEngine, are always up to date. Generate an annual report on renewals required for the following year's budget.
  • Assist in monitoring and troubleshooting CBS systems to maintain system reliability and performance.
  • Assist with the setup, maintenance, and repair of servers, computers, network equipment, and computer-related equipment.
  • Monitor and manage the protection of supported systems, including antivirus and backup solutions.

Requirements

Qualifications

Essential

  • GCSE Grades (C and above) or equivalent, including Math’s and English

Desirable

  • IT Level 3 Technician or similar
  • ITIL 3 / 4 or similar relevant IT related qualification that aligns with the Key Accountabilities.

Skills, Knowledge & Attributes

Essential

  • Previous experience in IT Helpdesk or 1st line support.
  • Experience installing and configuring modern Windows based computer hardware and operating systems (i.e. Windows 11).
  • Experience using and troubleshooting Microsoft Office 365 (MS Word, Excel, Outlook etc.).
  • Strong and effective verbal and written communication skills at all levels.
  • Flexible and adaptable to accommodate the business's changing needs.
  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Committed to providing customer-centric service in all aspects of the role and interactions with internal and external customers.
  • Exhibits excellent attention to detail in all tasks.
  • Ability to work in line with CBS Core Values of pride, integrity, accountability, continuous improvement, and enjoyment

Desirable

  • Experience working with Intune/Autopilot
  • Experience working with Visual Basic for Applications (VBA).
  • Experience in Vulnerability testing and associated rectification work.
  • Familiarity with any of the ManageEngine applications
  • Experience working with Azure Public Cloud
  • Ability to deliver IT security training to the rest of the business when required.
