1373-E&I Technician (Industrial/Metals)

Job Summary: 

To contribute to Company's goal of exceeding customers’ expectations by delivering competitive, quality amorphous metal products and services on time, every time. The E&I Technician position is responsible for providing leadership, support, preventive maintenance, and service to all electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, thermal/mechanical systems and equipment used in amorphous metal production.

Essential Job Functions: 

•    Committed to ensuring the safety of others and self through always working in a safe manner and following all safety procedures.

•    Lead efforts to make total Quality the standard at the Conway plant through personal behaviors and ensuring that all appropriate parties are included in the problem-solving process.

•    Performs part or all of the work below as assigned by supervisor.

•    Repairs and maintains electrical systems, electronic systems, and various electric power systems (including digital and analog circuitry, inverter and power supply systems, lasers, AC and DC drive systems, relay logic and power distribution systems.)

•    Maintains and repairs various mechanical systems including hydraulic systems, cranes, balers, casting-winding-packaging machines.

•    Performs welding within scope of experience and training.

•    Implements the established preventative maintenance program.

•    Complies with all pollution, toxic, waste, and safety regulations and laws.

•    Writes/assists in writing SOPs and training/trouble shooting procedures.

•    Takes a leadership role in identifying, suggesting, and implementing continual improvements in equipment reliability and technician training.

•    Ability to work as an integral member of the plant’s scheduled “on-call” team.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities (KSAs): 

•    Assist in development of hands-on training of technicians in troubleshooting techniques and procedures.

•    Assist in writing procedures for all critical process equipment and calibration procedures for all instruments.

•    Work closely with maintenance supervision in establishing ISO 9002 within this department.

•    Increase equipment reliability through thorough analysis of equipment failures.   Assist in any associated training from both a maintenance and operating aspect.

•    Take leadership role in assisting operations when experiencing process/run/problems.  Assist in identification of problem(s) and participate in problem-solving and implementation of solutions.

Requirements

Education, Training, & Experience: 

•    Training and demonstrated skills in industrial maintenance not limited to electronics, electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, and welding

•    Leadership and teamwork abilities.

•    Excellent communication and documentation skills.
