The Circular Knit Mechanic is accountable for the setup, maintenance, and repair of circular knitting machines to ensure optimal production efficiency and quality output. This role involves troubleshooting mechanical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and collaborating with the production team to minimize downtime.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform setup, adjustments, and maintenance on circular knitting machines to produce high-quality products.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Conduct regular preventive maintenance to ensure machines operate at peak performance.
  • Collaborate with the production team to optimize machine operation for various knitting programs.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs conducted on machinery.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies while working on all machinery.
  • Continuously monitor production processes to identify and resolve issues proactively.
  • Stay informed on the latest technologies and advancements in the circular knitting industry.

Requirements

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in mechanical engineering or textile technology is a plus.
  • Previous experience as a Circular Knit Mechanic or in a similar maintenance role is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical skills with the ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain circular knitting machines.
  • Familiarity with various aspects of knitting machine operation and production processes.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively convey issues and solutions.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
