About the project 
 
As a Senior Android Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining, enhancing, and evolving the app, with a focus on ad and video integration, native Android development, and operational excellence. This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical skills, autonomy, and the ability to collaborate across distributed teams. 
 
 
How you'll contribute 
 
✅ Lead the development, maintenance, and support of the MaxPreps Android app using Kotlin and standard open-source libraries. 
✅ Drive the transition of ad placements from third-party to the Client’s owned ad service, ensuring seamless integration of ad and video features. 
✅ Manage and optimize Firebase and Google API integrations; oversee notification frameworks (Firebase, Airship). 
✅ Participate in the full software development lifecycle: requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and monitoring. 
✅ Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, client services) to define and deliver new features and improvements. 
✅ Ensure code quality through code reviews, unit testing, and adherence to best practices. 
✅ Independently monitor app performance, triage issues, and communicate status to stakeholders; contribute to the product roadmap. 
✅ Support CI/CD deployment processes, aligning Android releases with iOS and ensuring incremental, reliable updates. 
✅ Stay current with Android trends, tools, and best practices; contribute to the adoption of AI-assisted development tools as appropriate. 
 
This would make you the ideal candidate 
 
✨ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 
✨ 5+ Years of experience working with Android and Kotlin. 
✨ Experience working with Android SDK, UI/UX design principles, and open-source libraries. 
✨ Experience working with Firebase, Google APIs and ad/video integration. 
✨ Experience in API design. 
✨ Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines. 
✨ Advanced English Level is required for this role, as you will work with US clients. Effective communication in English is essential to deliver the best solutions to our clients and expand your horizons.
