1 X Senior Online Content Executive

Rentokil Initial, a FTSE 100 company, is one of the largest business services companies in the world. Operating globally, we are a well-known provider of pest control, washroom hygiene services and interior and exterior plants for businesses.

Due to continuous expansion, an opportunity has now arisen for a Senior Online Marketing Executive to join our growing digital marketing team based in our office in Cape Town.

As a Senior Online Marketing Executive, you will support the wider marketing team by owning the website for one of our UK businesses and will be responsible for improving and updating its content, structure and overall organic search performance as well as the business’s digital enquiry performance. You will also optimise the site for priority search terms whilst driving organic visitors.  

In this role you will work closely with the marketing leads for your business, as well as the wider digital marketing team.  Researching keywords and developing a keyword strategy, you will continually review how your website is performing and make sure we have the best content in the right format, as well as being able to post on social media.

In this dynamic role, you will be tasked with defining target pages for each priority keyword or phrase. You will also update your business’s website with appropriate keywords to ensure we have great content that reads naturally and performs well with search engines, as well as updating the site meta data. 

As a Senior Online Marketing Executive you must have attention to detail with an interest in current internet trends and technologies. Equally important is your highly organised approach and strong presentation skills. You will be a superb team player whilst retaining the ability to work independently. Results-driven, your flexibility and communication skills will be second to none.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities:

Your other duties will include:

• Conducting site audits to ensure we have the right content in the right places
• Having content in a suitable format for different devices and recruitment channels
• Writing great content to support the business 
• Building inbound links and growing overall site authority
• Liaising with the Marketing team to research, develop and implement the social media plan
• Supporting other parts of the business when additional digital support is required

To be considered for this superb opportunity, you must have:

• Proven success in improving website enquiry generation

• A good understanding of the entire web development cycle and web technologies, including HTML

• Experience of web development tools and content management systems, ideally Rhythmyx

• The ability to write content which is both creative and succinct

• Experience of Google Adwords and Google Analytics

• Experience of using MS Office

• Recruitment knowledge is an advantage, but not essential
  

QUALIFICATIONS and  EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field.
• Proven experience in digital content writing, with a strong portfolio of blog articles and web content.
