The Taylor facility will boost the production of semiconductor solutions that will power next-generation technologies in areas like 5G, artificial intelligence (AI) and high performance computing.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Job Summary/Overview:

Guided by a belief in extensive data analysis and a commitment to collaborative global relationships, the Ultra-Pure Water (UPW) and Industrial Wastewater (IWT) team is responsible for providing continuous, safe and high quality utilities to our Fab. At our water and wastewater plants on the Samsung Austin Semiconductor campus, our Operations teams’ drive for sustainability and operational excellence is balanced by our need to adopt tomorrow’s technologies to ensure plant resilience, environmental stewardship, and the safety of our staff.

Specific Job Duties:

• As a supervisor for our 24/7 Operations team, you will lead a team of approximately 10-20 technicians, spread across day and night shifts, who are responsible for:
• Promoting a safe work environment using a process safety mindset
• Fully owning, maintaining and operating UPW and IWT equipment within the guidance provided the Engineering team(s)
• Monitoring system performance, while also finding opportunities for safety, quality or cost improvements
• Preliminary troubleshooting, inspection, and field data collection of equipment and process issues
• Communicating and escalating issues to the Engineering team, and collaborating with our engineers for resolution.
• Defining the plant’s priorities for breakdown maintenance, repairs and replacements
• Training, executing, and ensuring compliance to Standard Operating Procedures
• Maintaining and improving existing Standard Operating Procedures including the Certification documentation and process.
• Ability to independently multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
• Provide system support and direction, serving as a primary point of contact and preparing briefings for senior management
• Desire to assist in problem solving and troubleshooting on UPW-IWT systems / technology
• Follows and enforces company policies and local, state, and federal laws
• Creates work schedules and monitors employee attendance
• Monitors performance metrics, identifies positive and negative fluctuations, and escalates to appropriate parties if deviations occur
• Confers with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments
• Demonstrates equipment operations and work procedures to new employees, or assigns experienced employees to train
• Provides continual performance and development feedback to employees
• Completes other duties as assigned

Shift: 1st Shift (Monday-Friday 8am-5pm)

Skills and Qualifications:

Education, Training, Certification(s) and Minimum years of experience required

• 2-year degree preferred, or commensurate 4-year work experience minimum
• 4+ years of experience in an industrial facilities environment

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Software, and Tools

2-year degree preferred, or commensurate 4-year work experience minimum
