This hybrid role involves overhauling reciprocating engines and engine components, both in the workshop and in the field. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing all technical activities in the workshop, as well as performing hands-on field service work on Jenbacher Gas Engines.

Essential Responsibilities : 

•    Perform engine overhauls including disassembly, cleaning, measuring, assessing, assembly and painting of involved components and parts according to technical documentation and standards
•    Perform engine components maintenance and repairs including disassembly, cleaning, measuring, assessing and assembly of involved parts according to technical documentation and standards
•    Test overhauled equipment to ensure it operates correctly and safely
•    Interpret technical manuals, documentation and specifications to ensure overhauls and repairs are conducted accurately
•    Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance and repairs conducted and parts as well as tools used
•    Comply with all safety and environmental policies and procedures, ensuring a clean and safe workspace
•    Stay up-to-date with the latest mechanical advancements and best practices.
•    Perform field service activities in compliance with maintenance protocol for routine, extended and minor overhauls on Jenbacher fleet

Qualification Requirements : 

•    3+ years’ experience as field service engineer, mechanic or workshop operator for reciprocating engines or similar equipment 
•    Professional usage of measurement equipment and workshop machinery
•    Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and drawings and instructions
•    Ability to work individually and as part of a team
•    Customer focused and ability to drive, implement and deliver premium service at highest quality
•    Strong time management skills
                                                                     

•    Fluent in English

•   Available for daily presence in the Houston Workshop and alternatively traveling up to 50% within U.S.
