IT Systems Analysis work focuses on designing information systems that are appropriate for users' needs and consistent with the overall design of the organization's information systems architecture including: Collecting and analyzing information from system users to formulate the scope and objectives of the system; Preparing flow charts, models, and procedures and conducting feasibility studies to design possible system solutions; Estimating the costs of system solutions and preparing project plans to provide input into decisions about prioritizing projects and allocating IT resources; Preparing and maintaining technical documentation to guide system users and to assist with the ongoing operation, maintenance, and development of the system; Leverages agile methodology to design and configure solutions; Works closely with business to develop required training, change management and operations process; Develop use cases, customer scenarios, and/or demos, and plan and coordinate testing of the newly developed or enhanced applications and provide support; Looks for opportunities to automate business process with technology, and may provide consultation to users in the area of automated systems.
As a Systems Analyst - Workday, you can look forward to:
- Perform Workday functional activities - business process configuration; security fundamentals, calculated fields, report writer, and EIBs
- Designing, developing, and deploying system configuration and system enhancements
- Configure and maintain business process definitions in Workday
- Supporting Workday EIB and maintain security groups, roles and permissions
- Configure and maintain Security (policies, domains, business process, roles, and permissions)
- Work independently but closely with business teams to understand business processes, goals and gaps
- Collaborating with IT and HR for the identification and resolution of issues, evaluating potential system enhancements, upgrades, and/or system conversions
- Performing analysis into the root cause of problems and resolve as appropriate
- Actively participate in Workday's semi-annual release process, working with business teams to address critical impacts and upcoming enhancement opportunities
- Develop understanding of the business needs, evaluate Workday capabilities to ensure continuous improvement of the platform
- Support all stages of the software development life cycle including but not limited to; system integration, configuration, data conversion, functional specifications, program, and system quality testing, go-live and post go-live implementation support
Experience & Competencies Required
- Deep understanding of the Workday foundations across HCM (Absence/Talent and Performance/ Compensation, Recruiting and Learning)
- In-depth understanding of HR domain and processes
- Workday Certification: Essential Workday Partner/Pro certification with hands-on experience in building Workday applications (Not required)
- At least 3+ years of system configuration and support experience for Workday
- Project management and familiarity with Agile methodology
- Creative thinking, ability to partner with business, and navigating ambiguity
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral
- Be a self-motivated, flexible, teammate with multi-tasking, time management and organization
- Experienced in test planning, test case development and execution
