Weatherford is hiring a Electronic Technician for our Fort Worth facility. This is a hands-on, rewarding role where you will be performing repair and maintenance for the oil and gas industry. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: (not listed in any particular order)
- Operate crane and/or forklift to load and unload jobs.
- Clean, service, and maintain logging tools, and equipment as required by supervisor.
- Available on a 24-hour basis to respond to customer needs.
- Know and understand Weatherford Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions.
- Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.
- Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.
- Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
- Repair Wireline Logging Tools, and Equipment and Failure component analysis.
- Perform Lab Test Procedures to Wireline Logging tools.
- Perform complex troubleshooting on a wide range of electronic equipment including data acquisition systems and downhole tools to determine cause of failure and perform corrective maintenance in accordance with Weatherford's documented policies and procedures.
- Perform complex modifications on a wide range of electronic equipment including data acquisition systems and downhole tools as per Operation Letters and in accordance with Weatherford’s documented policies and procedures.
- As applicable fully test and calibrate tools in accordance with Weatherford policy and procedures.
- Complete Work Orders, Repair Requests, and update Databases as applicable.
- Identify Opportunities for Improvement in regards to equipment, procedures, and document in WISE.
- Maintain equipment, facilities and work area in a presentable and working condition.
- Liaise with Weatherford personnel and 3rd party vendors as required to accommodate repairs and modifications to downhole tools and ancillaries
- High School diploma (or Secondary School Diploma or equivalent) as minimum.
- 1+ years of related work experience.
- Ability to work on electronic boards down to the component level (repair, analysis, troubleshooting, component replacements).
- Ability to read and fully understand Mechanical Drawings.
- Ability to read and fully understand Wiring Diagrams.
- Ability to fully comprehend schematics
- Ability to use hand tools such as screwdrivers, pipe wrenches, drill, pliers
