Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Set up and operate Wire EDM machines (FANUC/Sodick) to produce high-precision components.
- Monitor machine performance, make adjustments as needed, and troubleshoot issues to ensure continuous production.
- Load and unload work pieces, install and align tooling, and perform necessary machine adjustments.
- Develop and optimize CNC programs for Wire EDM machines (FANUC/Sodick) based on engineering drawings and specifications.
- Make necessary adjustments to maintain tight tolerances and high-quality standards.
- Conduct routine maintenance on Wire EDM machines (FANUC/Sodick) to ensure optimal performance.
- Identify and report any equipment issues to maintenance staff for timely resolution.
- Keep work area clean and organized.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Wire EDM Operator/Programmer in a manufacturing environment (3+ years), specifically with FANUC/Sodick
- Knowledge of machine shop practices, techniques, operations
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to follow directions
- Basic math, logical reasoning, and problem solving skills
- Ability to lift 25 pounds
