As the Research Operations Recruiting Associate, you will own the recruitment strategy and execution for all of WHOOP Labs. You will lead recruitment for all studies, unlocking the work of WHOOP Labs researchers and stakeholders. In owning the Lab’s recruitment strategy, you will manage the lab’s participant panel, and ensure each study cohort is demographically diverse. You will also collaborate with other members of the WHOOP Labs Research Operations team to collect feedback on participant interests and experiences to drive new panel program initiatives that ensure our participants feel valued.

This role is an offset schedule, with expected hours from 7am - 3pm Tuesday - Saturday. Candidates must be prepared to work in person at WHOOP Labs in Boston, MA 5 days each week. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support high-volume recruitment and scheduling efforts for WHOOP Labs and contribute to the strategic vision for participation in studies at WHOOP Labs
  • Own the execution of strategic recruitment initiatives for health studies to ensure the desired sample population is represented
  • Own end-to-end participant experience for early morning (7am - 9am) and Saturday lab operation including study check-in/onboarding, lab management, and issue documentation
  • Develop and execute activities to maintain a pipeline of new recruits, and implement strategic initiatives to ensure the participant panel is demographically diverse 
  • Grow network of connections in Boston and create new relationships with like-minded organizations to develop partnerships that can be tapped for specific study recruitment needs
  • Conduct regular research with existing participants and new groups to identify opportunities to improve participant experiences, especially related to health and wellness studies
  • Oversee participant communications and compensation in collaboration with the rest of the Research Operations team; operate independently during Saturday lab hours and on-call Sunday hours to ensure continuous participant support
  • Report progress regularly and present findings to department heads
  • Support budget planning and allocation for incentives and other recruitment spending
  • Reports to the Director of WHOOP Labs

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university
  • 2-4 years of experience with research operations, study management, or a related field
  • Interested in connecting with new people and organizations, and willing to lead cold outreach to support recruitment efforts
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills 
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities at once, and help other team members prioritize related asks
  • Able to work 5 days per week in the Greater Boston area
