Reporter, Weekend
Newsweek is seeking a reporter to join their weekend team, keeping watch over breaking news and politics on the weekend.
Ideal candidates understand the importance of both speed and unique angles in a hyper-competitive journalistic landscape. They’ll be able to successfully balance the need to write multiple brief stories daily while chipping away at exclusive or more detailed pieces that connect dots and help readers understand the biggest news topics.
The best candidates will be self-starters who can cultivate sources and experts to help them be first (or best) in breaking a story. Must be willing to work a Wednesday – Sunday schedule.
