Purpose of the Job
Equitable Bank is seeking a talented and creative Web UX Designer for a part-time contract role to help redesign and enhance the user experience on our website. This person will be responsible for evolving business strategies and ideas into high fidelity deliverables ready for development.
This 3-month project will focus on improving customer journeys, designing wireframes and user flows for net-new landing pages, and optimizing lead generation on key banking products, including our reverse mortgage calculator.

- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and marketing teams to deliver UX/UI design solutions
- Develop wireframes, prototypes, and user flows aligned with business goals and customer feedback
- Ensure designs adhere to Equitable Bank’s brand guidelines and accessibility standards
- Iterate on designs based on user testing and stakeholder feedback to refine the user journey
- Work with development teams to ensure seamless implementation of design elements
- Create design communications within brand guidelines, collaborating with the creative team on integrated campaigns
- Strategize and brainstorm with the team to produce strong creative designs
- Champion great creative work and seek opportunities to enhance output
- Provide QA and UAT support, creating detailed outlines for change requests and design bugs
- Redesign landing pages and user flows, including the reverse mortgage calculator, to enhance usability and drive conversions
Let's talk about you

5+ years of experience in UX/UI design, with a focus on web design and user experience in financial services or related industries
- Have at least 2+ years of Mobile-first experience with strong ability to differentiate between desktop and mobile paradigms, behavioral nuances, constraints, and capabilities
- Strong portfolio showcasing responsive web design and user-centered design practices
- Keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of visual hierarchy, typography, and color theory
- Solid understanding of grid systems, typography, web and mobile design trends
- Fluent in design and project management tools, including Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Jira, Confluence
- Experience with user testing methodologies and applying insights to design improvements
- Familiarity with front-end development principles (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus
