Web & Social Media Leader

Full-Time

In the role as Web & Social Media Leader at IKEA Älmhult AB, your assignment is to lead and implement the web and social media strategy and plan, while securing business development and business objectives. You will also support The Story of IKEA (digital museum) and together with the marketing and creative teams, make sure the website and social media content follows IKEA tone-of-voice and visual identities. You collaborate, on a daily basis, with colleagues within IKEA, as well as with different external partners. 

In this role, you are expected to: 

  • Support the business in web and social media related matters, including strategy, tactics and other according to business needs.   
  • Secure the digital channel strategy for maximum impact for owned media. 
  • Lead the total tech development and design plan including leading agencies and suppliers with the aim to position and grow our reach according to business objectives. 
  • Contribute to the overall web and digital development needs to secure competence and to balance business opportunities and risk. 
  • Lead close collaboration with creators and agencies to secure high level of creativity, optimization, and movement to grow our business.  
  • Lead topics across our businesses and functions with the aim to strengthen our positioning and business development. 
  • Secure consistency and alignment of plans in the team and other functions and businesses with the aim to maximize our impact and improve ways of working.  
  • Act as a role model leading by example and promoting the IKEA Culture & Values. 

To succeed in this role, you are motivated by the IKEA vision and passionate about marketing, web, social media and communication. You possess good leadership and collaboration skills, including the ability to build strong relationships with people, teams, partners and stakeholders. You have an entrepreneurial mindset and driven by a constant urge to improve, develop and challenge and a strong will to influence and make a difference. 

We see that you have: 

  • University degree in marketing & communication or similar  
  • Senior experience from web and social media, such as SEO, data and UX, web communication and content production, e.g. from senior role in agency or marketing department. 
  • Experience from leading web and social media strategy and plan, and creative processes. 
  • Updated knowledge on trends and development in the channel and media landscape. 

You will work in an international and local context, therefore it is important you are fluent in both Swedish and English, spoken and written. 

It will be a benefit if you have knowledge about IKEA concept and business model, are familiar with IKEA tone of voice and knowledge about IKEA communication processes.

This is a temporary position for 1 year, full-time (40 hours per week) and located in Älmhult, Sweden. You will report to the Marketing & Communication Manager at IKEA Älmhult AB.
