LiveChat is hiring a

Web Developer [Marketing]

Full-Time
Remote
We're seeking an experienced web developer to join the marketing part of our team, which is focused on brand building, customer acquisition, education, and retention. You'll primarily work in cooperation with a product marketer, web developer, and content writer.

About your team:
Our team manages ChatBot, the leading AI-powered product of Text (formerly LiveChat). ChatBot is an all-in-one platform for building AI chatbots for support, marketing, and sales automation. We guide the product strategy, introduce new features, analyze user feedback, and develop go-to-market plans using a well-organized, agile methodology. We prefer simple management tools that serve us without overwhelming us. Open communication and collaboration define our atmosphere, where everyone’s ideas, including yours, are highly appreciated.

As our team member, you will:

  • Develop product websites and landing pages – you'll work with other creative team members (designer and content writer) to delight our visitors and raise the bar for SaaS websites;
  • Code email templates for our email marketing campaigns;
  • Optimize our content creation process by setting up and troubleshooting our CMS systems and introduce new solutions for future projects;
  • Create complete mini tools for engineering-as-marketing tactics (examples:Typing Speed Test,Privacy Policy Generator, andCustomer Service Report);
  • Improve the overall code quality and development process;
  • Implement analytics events and measure conversion, and conduct A/B tests;
  • Track, analyze, and fix performance issues on our websites;
  • Assist our SEO specialists with optimizing our websites to rank higher in search results;
  • Provide feedback on project ideas and discover potential challenges during the planning process.

Our tech stack:

  • We use Hugo, Less, Stimulus.js, GSAP, Netlify, NetlifyCMS, WordPress, Statamic, and occasionally Vue. However, our small team maintains an approach to picking the best tools for the job. Therefore, we value knowledge of general programming patterns more than one's tool mastery.

You may be a good fit for this role if you:

  • Live the web: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript are your natural habitat.
  • Have solid experience in building complex web properties.
  • Know the differences between web apps and websites and their technical implications.
  • Stay up to date with new Web APIs and platform improvements.
  • Have excellent communication skills. You can express your ideas, concerns, and ongoing project updates clearly and relevantly to others – including non-technical stakeholders.
  • Have an eye for great design. You can advise on how it'll work on a live website.
  • Have a good understanding of the SaaS business model and its customer acquisition tactics through digital marketing channels.
