Web Content Manager

Amsterdam, Netherlands

We are seeking a Web Content Manager to oversee and manage website content across multiple platforms. You will coordinate, manage, and regularly update marketing content on high-traffic, public-facing websites, ensuring alignment with our brand vision and style guidelines. You’ll work closely with marketing managers, designers, product engineers, and external vendors to bring dynamic content strategies to life.

Responsibilities

  • Create, update, and maintain website content within content management systems, including SAP Commerce Cloud CMS/SmartEdit and WordPress.
  • Monitor live content for quality control and troubleshoot or escalate issues as needed.
  • Act as the department’s content management software expert, liaising with e-business and technology teams.
  • Manage annual content reviews and audits with Product and Marketing Managers, ensuring timely page updates. Produce and maintain accurate reports and logs of past and upcoming changes.
  • Drive e-commerce conversion optimization through testing and data analytics.
  • Develop and implement effective search engine optimization (SEO) strategies, including monitoring and reporting on SEO performance.
  • Schedule and track web promotions to ensure consistent, brand-compliant marketing materials.

Experience

  • 2+ years of relevant web content management experience.
  • Proven expertise in identifying SEO strategies to increase website traffic and achieve high search engine rankings.
  • Higher education in a relevant field or demonstrable experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency with content management systems, with a strong knowledge of HTML and CSS; knowledge of JavaScript and PHP is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with SmartEdit, ACF, Elementor, and BetterDocs is a plus.
  • Excellent written communication skills in English; proficiency in Dutch, German, or French is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with some project management experience.
  • Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams (e.g., marketing, product management, sales, human resources).
  • Experience or knowledge in UI/UX is a plus.
