POSITION SUMMARY:  
Under the direction of the Assistant Warehouse Manager, the Warehouse Worker is responsible for distributing, transporting, and keeping track of products, materials, supplies, and equipment within the warehouse. The Warehouse Worker selects products to create and stack orders on pallets for delivery, and handles the receipt, transfer, and storage of raw materials, dry goods, supplies, and finished products in designated warehouse areas.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Locates products and builds stacks on pallets to fulfill sales orders for delivery using scanning equipment.
  • Prepares deliveries by organizing loads according to approved product orders, completing appropriate documentation, and loading vehicles.
  • Loads and unloads items such as raw materials and supplies from ocean and air containers.
  • Loads, moves, and/or stores supplies, finished goods, and other items in designated areas.
  • Properly operates forklifts (both sit-down and stand-up types) while adhering to procedures, guidelines, and regulations.
  • Maintains cleanliness of the work area, forklifts, and warehouses.
  • May determine methods of storage, identification, and stock location, considering factors like temperature, humidity, height, weight limits, and required space.
  • Performs all duties and maintains standards in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
  • Completes any other work-related tasks as assigned.
  • Regular attendance is required for the position.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Must have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience/training.
  • A minimum of six (6) months of warehouse experience is required.
  • Must have basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, and multiplication, as well as verbal reasoning and reading comprehension.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Previous experience in operating warehouse equipment, including but not limited to hand trucks, forklifts, and pallet jacks.
  • Must be able to obtain forklift certification within six (6)months of being hired.

  • Constant:  Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

  • Occasional:  The position requires talking to outside trade persons/vendors; verbal communication to outside trade persons/vendors; supervising others; written communication to co-workers; training/giving verbal instructions; visiting/working at different worksites.
  • Frequent:  The position requires talking to co-workers; talking on the telephone; responding to written or verbal requests of co-workers; receiving verbal instruction; reading and receiving written instruction; writing/composing written language.
