Warehouse Operator & Inventory Support

Your New Role

Supporting a Defence program, details of the role are as follows:

Details of the role:

  • Responsible for managing the Supply Support Services associated with sustaining the systems delivered by Leidos
  • Conduct Stocktaking on Contractor Manage Commonwealth Assets (CMCA).
  • Inventory management – including inventory movement and accounting of Leidos assets and CMCA
  • Requirements determination – including the need to induct RIs and the need to procure Non-RIs
  • Issuing and receipting of items – including stock items and system kits.
  • Warehousing, storage, handling and distribution – insuring care of all of the allocated CMCA items and including maintenance whilst in storage
  • Stock movement and transportation – within the warehouse and arranging domestic and international freight
  • Goods inwards receipt and inspection – including raising Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)
  • Prepare materials for and support the various program progress meetings
  • Act as the Health and Safey Representative for the nominated site
  • Additional duties as required.

Applicants must be an Australian Citizen and be eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) Clearance.

About You & What You'll Bring

Ideally you have previously worked in a Defence environment where you were in charge of or supporting maintenance teams with managing the spares, new parts stock management and control as well as ensuring we are providing the right service to the client. You will be experienced in the use of Military Integrated Logistics Systems (MILIS) and the Commonwealths Electronic Supply Chain Manual (ESCM) and used to working in a team environment where you often need to think on your feet and contribute to the solutions as a team. 

If you don't have Defence experience however feel comfortable with relevant experience in the below areas, we absolutely encourage you to apply:

  • Warehouse experience, including Inwards and Outwards Freight
  • Experience in maintaining inventory and supplies by receiving, storing, delivering items, stocktaking and securing a warehouse
  • Relevant Workplace Health and Safety training for Australian operations.
  • Forklift License
  • Experience and knowledge with computer software packages including Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel)
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and writing skills
  • Desirable: Experience using Commonwealth systems (DPN, MILIS, AMPS, ChemAlert)
