About the role
As part of our Banksmeadow warehouse operations team, this role will ensure timely loadign and unloading of freight for air and sea imports/exports, while ensuring a high level of accuracy and safety while undertaking all responsiblities.
What you will be doing
- Unpacking Import containers and packing export containers (Air and Sea)
- General warehousing duties
- Moving container contents
- Checking-in general freights (Air and Sea), loose freight
- Airfreight deconsolidation
- Maintain a high level of housekeeping in the warehouse
- Complete and document allocated work
- Unloading and loading of trucks
- Daily yard checks
- Communicating with drivers and allocator
- Staging yard for delivery
Requirements
The successful candidate
Essential
- Prior experience operating high reach and gas forklift
- Strong understanding and experience with freight
- Safety-oriented
- Physically fit and able to lift
- Reliable with a positive attitude
- Great attention to detail
- Works well in a team following procedures
- Willing to learn
Desirable
- Driver's license will be a plus
