Inbound Receiving and IC Lead-

Overseeing 2nd shift receiving and IC team. Wednesday to Saturday

Job Summary: 

Under general supervision, the Warehouse Dept. Lead will lead departments to meet daily requirements, meet business goals, and pursue continuous improvements. Practices safety awareness; order consolidation, picking, packing, replenishment, shipping, receiving, inventorying, and re-warehousing. Processing must be completed in a timely manner to maintain established department and location standards/goals.

 

Job Expectations:

  • Verifies accuracy of production or location; may set or assign locations of products

  • Re-bags/Re-tickets, replenishes and/or stocks merchandise as needed

  • Performs count of product / reconciliations (count cycle)

  • Support of warehouse personnel with inventory issues and physical management of inventory

  • Inventory troubleshooting and research to complete customer order(s) 

  • Updating computerized inventory records with use of cubiscan machine

  • Performs manual, computer or RF functions to enter data in systems

  • Manages flow based on available workload/orders

  • Document issues/challenges and report to management

  • Adheres to company policies and procedures; follows department training guidelines, best practices and operating procedures

  • Make sure that inventory levels are maintained within proper guidelines resolve and report any discrepancies to management. 

  • Train new or newly assigned team members in the proper methods and standard operating procedures of all job functions

  • Study and standardize procedures to improve efficiency of workers 

  • Confer with other Leads in the distribution center to ensure coordination of other warehouse activities

  • Identify areas of risk as it relates to theft and move high risk items to reduce the theft

  • Keeps work area neat and clean

  • Maintains standards of appearance according to location dress code

  • Follows all location Safety Guidelines

  • Ensures equipment and other department supplies are maintained

   Required:

Experience Requirements:

Generally requires a minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of related experience

Education Requirements:

High School Diploma required 

Judgment/Reasoning AbilityAble to identify, troubleshoot and resolve problems quickly using sound judgment, poise and diplomacy.  Ability to use judgment and reasoning skills, and determine when to escalate issues, as required, in a timely manner. 

Physical Demands (Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.)   Physical activity to include standing and walking up to 8 – 12 hours with scheduled breaks.  Ability to function in a multi-level environment, including climbing stairs, bending, twisting, stepping, stooping, reaching, lifting and pushing. Physical ability to move merchandise weighing up to 30 pounds on a regular basis without assistance and items heavier than 60 pounds on an occasional basis with assistance.

Work EnvironmentThe noise in the work environment is usually moderate.  Other factors are:

 

  • Hectic, fast-paced with multi-level distractions

  • Professional, yet casual work environment

  • Warehouse environment

  • Ability to work extended hours as required
