Warehouse Lead 2nd Shift

Lead a department of 10-15 in daily communication meetings and issue each team member their daily workload. Train, motivate, and lead the department to meet all daily production and safety goals while taking direction from the shift supervisor. Take on accountability for all department operations, actions, and results. 

  • Monitor and enforce Safety and Company policies
  • Train and assist, order pickers, checkers, and loaders as required
  • Assist in the development of department performance and productivity standards
  • Hands-on as needed based on workload and manpower
  • Maintain and update start, hourly, and end of shift reports 
  • Attend all department and company meetings as required
  • Assist shipping supervisor in directing workflow
  • Provide input for employee evaluations
  • Complete and/or coordinate department projects as assigned
  • Maintain good housekeeping
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Ability to communicate in English
  • Judgement and decision making
  • Adept knowledge of RF Scanners/Systems
  • Ability to use computers and associated software programs, including Microsoft Office
  • Ability to be certified to operate a Forklift (Order Picker, Sit-down or Walkie-Rider)
  • Ability to understand the essential throughput of a Logistics Operation
  • Proven leadership of 10 or more people in a warehouse setting
  • Shipping and/or Receiving experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience in warehousing
