- Apply the FIFO method in receiving, storing and distributing all items.
- Divide the warehouse into sections and allocate each section for a different type of products.
- Monitor the unloading of all materials into the receiving area.
- Receive, count items, ensure the necessary documents are available and handle timely and accurate
system data entry.
- Examine and inspect the received items carefully and report any damaged or defected products to
the concerned stakeholders.
- Oversee the movement of received items from receiving area to the respective storing area in an
efficient, effective and safe manner.
- Store items properly by type/family/composition or as per the operations manual to avoid damage.
- Store uniforms by size and style and ensure they are accessible and placed far from chemicals.
- Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, or other labeling techniques using the correct
name, description and expiry date where applicable.
- Monitor the flow of paperwork from receiving to inventory control for timely data entry.
- Handle packing, crating and other preparations for shipments.
- Update the inventory on monthly basis and adapt a proper data entry on the system ensuring the
system data and real items are always equal.
- Ensure the stock is frequently replenished and the Minimum Stock Alert is respected.
- Monitor the temperature and humidity levels of the different warehouse sections and take needed
actions when necessary
- Lock hazardous areas and verify the products in it are safely stored.
- Handle the triple-rinse and disposal of empty pesticides containers.
- Ensure and maintain tidiness, cleanliness and order of the warehouses and surroundings
- Apply a written sanitation program indicating the frequency and methods of cleaning.
- Handle safety measures when necessary and regularly verify safety devices are sufficiently available
and properly maintained such as fire extinguishers, first aid kit, eye wash kit and spill kit.
- Promote a smoke free environment inside and around the warehouse.
- Report discrepancies to chief accountant between stocked items and system data, invoices, and
documentation of received items.
- Assist in maintaining a proper filing and archiving system.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, Technical Diploma of equivalent degree.
- At least 1 year of Warehouse or Stock Keeping experience.
- Basic Knowledge of English is a must.
- Computer Knowledge: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
