Title:  

Warehouse Associate  

Job Purpose:   

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for stock management and overall warehousing for the Marken Branch. Will work in conjunction with all Marken operated branches and their agents.  

Main Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Day to day coordination of all material ordering, material reception, stock management, warehousing
  • Pro-active communication with internal MARKEN departments of any material delay, stock distribution, and/or stock deviation to include Project Management, Logistics department, Kit production and Branch level management
  • Work closely together with the distribution department, kit production coordinator for scheduling the outbound shipments, planning, and preparing transport documentation
  • Support other departments as needed
  • Provide info on pricing requests; perform sourcing on specific material
  • Close cooperation/collaboration with clients on warehouse/sourcing management
  • Perform stock counting and inventory control checks
  • Receive and control goods
  • Identify potential process improvements, savings, and cost avoidances
  • Compliance, development, review, and revision of SOP’s (if necessary)
  • Compliance with and work according to MARKEN policies as well as applicable MARKEN quality standards
  • Compliance with all health policies and safety-conscious work, treatment of all substances with relevant caution for the protection of oneself and others

Qualifications:  

  • Secondary school diploma or relevant experience
  • Forklift permit

Skills and Knowledge Requirements:  

  • Good customer orientation
  • Good knowledge of IATA regulations, including Transportation of Dangerous Goods (if applicable)
  • Requires specific skills and knowledge in the use and application of proprietary software, Internet and MS Office applications
  • Good problem-solving skills are required in identifying and alerting others to operational problems
  • Excellent communication skills. Both written and verbal are required to convey and clarify routine information
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Good organization and time management skills
  • High cooperativeness attention to detail
