Breeze Airways is seeking a dynamic and visionary Vice President Technology.  Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, this technology leader will be responsible for the development and support of our mission-critical applications and cutting-edge technology that will support the company’s vision and goals.  This leader will provide strategic direction and influential leadership to a number of development and technology teams, ensuring alignment with Breeze’s values and commitment to innovation.  

Here’s what you’ll do 

The VP of Technology is responsible for: 

  • Defining and executing a strategic vision for Breeze's technology ecosystem, aligning with company goals and long-term market trends 
  • Leading modernization efforts to ensure systems remain scalable, reliable, and supported with industry best practices 
  • Staying ahead of emerging technology trends and proactively implementing innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and guest experience 
  • Inspiring and guiding diverse, high-performing teams to deliver on complex projects while promoting an inclusive and collaborative work environment 
  • Building strong, smart relationships across the organization to promote technology-driven decision-making 
  • Championing talent development, mentoring, and retention to build a pipeline of future technology leaders 
  • Directing the design, development, and implementation of organizational information systems, software applications, and IT infrastructure 
  • Overseeing information security, disaster recovery planning/testing, and business continuity to maintain a stable and resilient IT environment 
  • Leading enterprise technology transformations, including lifecycle management, large-scale implementations, and process automation 
  • Driving the success of information systems and IT projects through planning, execution, and success measurement frameworks 
  • Developing a data strategy towards sustainable governance, real-time analytics, and actionable insights 
  • Enhancing business operations through advanced analytics, machine learning, and other innovative technologies 
  • Serving as a strategic advisor to Breeze leadership, identifying and prioritizing technology investments that drive business growth 
  • Optimizing procurement and vendor management to maximize value from technology partnerships 
  • Balancing operational stability with innovation to support Breeze’s mission of delivering extraordinary service to customers 
  • Leading the information security, technology operations, business application management, technology architecture, and data science teams  
  • Developing lifecycle management processes to ensure hardware and software is kept current 
  • Administer and develop growth strategies through various information technology plans 
  • Achieve performance measures and adhere to established standards in conjunction with Breeze Aviation Group Values of Safety, Kindness, Integrity, Ingenuity, and Excellence 

Here’s what you need to be successful 

Minimum Qualifications 

  • 4-year degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience 
  • 10+ years of experience in technology roles, with significant leadership experience required 
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale enterprise systems, lead transformation initiatives, and deliver measurable results 
  • High performance orientation, ability to work well under pressure, prioritize projects, meet deadlines, and maintain flexibility 
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills 
  • Must have a positive attitude and strong desire for success 

Preferred  Qualifications 

  • Master’s degree in business administration, Operations Research, or Computer Science, or equivalent training and experience 
  • Demonstrated success leading complex, global technology initiatives in highly regulated industries
  • In-depth understanding of airline industry trends 

Skills/Talents 

  • Skilled in verbal and written communication 
  • Expertise in enterprise system architecture, Agile development, strategic planning, and data analytics 
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to bridge the gap between technical solutions and business objectives 
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of explaining complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders 
  • Proven track record of inspiring teams, driving change, and fostering innovation 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other productivity tools 
  • High level of integrity and discretion when handling sensitive, confidential and proprietary information 
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships 
  • Knowledge of Information Technology disciplines, including large scale project management, strategic planning, system development, software acquisition, computer operations management, client support services, end user computing, contract management, and asset management 
  • Demonstrated effective leadership skills 
  • Be comfortable with learning and tackling projects utilizing unfamiliar technologies 
  • Ability to build and maintain rapport with business partners and team members 
  • Ability to work with individuals and teams at all levels in the organization
