Your Impact

We are looking for an innovative and strategic Vice President of Product Design to lead our talented design team at DISCO. The Vice President, Product Design will be a respected leader of industry as an integral partner to the leaders of our Product Management and Engineering teams. At DISCO, we place a high degree of emphasis on delivering excellent product experiences and the design of our products is integral in making this true.  We expect our Vice President, Product Design to maintain a strong working relationship and ensure that Design considerations are made in the ongoing decision making regarding approach to work and trade-offs in priorities. They will be active in the Design community as a best practice leader, ensuring our products to be recognized for their excellent design and usability.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and communicate a compelling design vision that aligns with DISCO's overall business goals, setting high standards for design quality across all products.
  • Champion user research initiatives to gather insights that inform design decisions, ensuring user-centered design principles are integral to product development.
  • Establish and maintain design standards and best practices, recognized as a leader in the industry for delivering a consistent and high-quality design language.
  • Collaborate with product management, engineering, and other stakeholders to seamlessly integrate design solutions within the product development lifecycle.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse team of product designers, fostering a collaborative and creative environment that encourages growth and innovation.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years in product design, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
  • Proven success in managing design teams in dynamic environments.
  • Familiarity with design tools such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe Creative Suite, as well as design to code platforms.
  • Deep understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices, with experience in consumer-facing or complex enterprise-level applications.
  • Strong strategic thinking and decision-making skills, with a commitment to driving design excellence.
