Summary:
The VP, Operations & Insights is a strategic leader responsible for driving the vision, management and enhancement of operational excellence, data, analytics, and HR technology solutions. This position will work in conjunction with other HR leaders and partners by leveraging operations, technology and data to deliver insights, enhance quality and timely decision-making, improve employee experience, drive global scale and efficiencies while aligning our HR strategies with Pinterest’s business objectives.
This role will develop and lead a best-in-class technology, insights and operations function that effectively communicates relevant and timely organizational trends, insights and technology solutions across our global workforce maximizing operational efficiencies.
What you'll do:
- Strategy and Leadership:
- Act as a strategic partner to the Pinterest executive leadership team, People Leadership Team and the CPO to develop, enhance and implement a comprehensive, future focused strategy and philosophy for data, insights, analytics, HR technology, and operations, that aligns with Pinterest’s strategy, driving greater insights.
- Lead and inspire a high-performing team of data scientists, analysts, HR technology specialists, and operations professionals.
- Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement across the organization.
- Operations:
- Streamline and enhance HR operations to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
- Develop and implement standardized processes and best practices for HR operations and data management.
- Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve operational performance.
- Leverage technology to enable innovative and automated solutions that drive scale and efficiency in operations and spend.
- Data & Insights:
- Develop comprehensive data, insights and reporting strategy that support strategic decision making as well as global workforce trends on organizational health
- Oversee the collection, analysis, and interpretation of data to provide actionable insights that support business objectives.
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Identify and prioritize key data projects and initiatives that can drive business value and efficiencies.
- Analytics:
- Lead the development and deployment of advanced analytics solutions to solve complex business problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into analytical projects and deliver key insights.
- Monitor and report on the performance of analytics functions and their impact on business outcomes.
- HR Technology:
- Drive the selection, implementation, and optimization of HR technology solutions.
- Ensure seamless integration and functionality of HR technology to support HR processes and enhance the employee experience.
- Stay updated on emerging HR technology trends and innovations, recommending new tools and systems as necessary (AI.)
- Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
- Partner with executive leadership and key stakeholders to understand business needs and align data, analytics, and HR technology strategies accordingly.
- Communicate complex data insights, analytics results, and technology capabilities to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and impactful manner.
- Build strong relationships with external vendors and partners to leverage technology and data innovations.
- In partnership with People Leadership Team and COE leaders, help build and lead technology product roadmap and prioritized implementation of people initiatives. Oversees management of the digital knowledge management system, ensuring optimal employee engagement and successful implementation of People projects and programs.
What we're looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in operations leadership, HR insights, and analytics
- Proven track record of success in developing and implementing HR programs, policies, and initiatives
- Strong problem-solving skills and analytical
- Excellent Interpersonal and clear communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate, problem solve, develop strong relationships, influence significant decisions
- The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in People leadership, with a focus on operational excellence, data analytics, and technology.

- This role will need to be in the office for in-person collaboration up 1-2 times/month. A location near one of our US Hubs (e.g. San Fran, NYC, Seattle, etc.) is preferred.
