About the team and what we’ll build together

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced VP, Partnerships to lead the identifying, securing, and onboarding partnerships that expand the reach and capability of our loyalty technology products and drive profitability growth. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record of building successful partnerships, preferably within the loyalty, marketing technology or SaaS industry. This is an individual contributor role that will work cross-functionally to ensure alignment and maximize the impact of our partnership efforts for Kobie overall. 

 

How you will make an impact   

  • Enhance Product Value: You will cultivate partnerships that integrate our technology with solutions that enrich our product offering in the marketing ecosystem and provide greater value to our clients and their customers.  
  • Expand Market Reach: You will secure partnerships that provide access to new markets and customer segments, enhancing our brand visibility and market penetration.  
  • Build a Partner Development Capability: You will develop and implement a comprehensive partner program that leverages a systematic framework and process for prioritizing, evaluating, and activating long-term, mutually beneficial relationships.  

How You Will be Measured: 

  • Partner-Generated Revenue: A key metric will be the revenue generated through partnerships, demonstrating the direct impact of your efforts on the company's bottom line. 
  • Number of Active Partnerships: The growth in the number of strategic, active partnerships utilized by our client portfolio  
  • TCO Improvement: The impact of partnerships on reducing operating costs of our technology products. 
  • Partner Development Process Efficacy: The overall performance of partner development program, including cycle time, level of effort and resources required, speed to value, etc. 

 

What you need to be successful

  • Extensive Partnership Experience: A minimum of 10+ years of experience in building and managing strategic partnerships, preferably in the loyalty, marketing technology, or SaaS, or industry 
  • Proven Track Record of Success: A demonstrable history of exceeding partnership goals and driving significant revenue growth through strategic alliances. Be prepared to share specific examples of successful partnerships you've forged. 
  • Strong Business Acumen: A deep understanding of business strategy, market dynamics, and financial analysis, trade-offs, and ROI. You should be comfortable with developing business cases and negotiating complex partnership agreements.   
  • Excellent Communication and Negotiation Skills: Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence key stakeholders. 
  • Marketing Technology Expertise: A strong understanding of the marketing and loyalty technology landscape, including data management, marketing automation, CRM, loyalty, and AI. 
  • Analytical Skills: The ability to analyze data, identify trends, and measure the effectiveness of partnership initiatives. Experience using partner scorecards and other evaluation tools is essential. 
  • Relationship Building Skills: A natural ability to build and maintain strong relationships with partners, both internally and externally. 
  • Savvy: You can figure out solutions to hard problems with many constraints, using sound judgement to assess risks, and can lay out your argument in a well-structured, data-informed narrative to a diverse set of stakeholders. 
  • Storyteller and Influencer: You can communicate clearly and gain advocacy for what’s possible and other complex ideas regardless of your audience. You help teammates define priorities and know why they’re doing what they’re doing. You can rally associates to work with you. 
  • Drive for Results: You’re biased toward action; you try things and sometimes you fail. You can get around roadblocks and stay focused on achieving your goals. You’re well organized, able to multitask and able to prioritize your work. 
  • Team Player: You enjoy working with diverse people and driving the team toward a common goal. You have the ability to put the team before yourself and establish long-lasting relationships. 
  • Bachelor's Degree: A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is required; an MBA is preferred.
